New battery, no charge bars

New battery, no charge bars
Hi,
Just replaced my 2005 HCH battery for the second time (new 8-amp-hour "BeeMax" from Bumblebee). Third time total I've changed a battery pack in an HCH I, so I'm pretty confident everything is OK about the replacement. The battery is clearly connected and working: the electric motor now starts the car, and the 12V battery light will go out when the engine is revved. BUT, IMA light is still (or back) on, and NO green charge bars when holding the throttle at 3000-3500 rpm. Trouble codes p1600 and p1432. Tried resetting the MCM by removing fuse #9, no change. Help?
Thanks!

Re: New battery, no charge bars
Call Bumblebee. If memory serves, the P1432 error is associated with a mis-match between the MCM and the PTC circuit. Halfway through the 03-05 production of the HCH1, they removed the PTC circuit from the battery. I may be wrong as fuzzy memory indicates it can also be a failed MCM.
Bumblebee will know, and they will have options for you.
