considering 2005 HCH purchase - wind question
I'm considering the purchase of a 2005 HCH tomorrow (12/14/07) or the next day. It's a "certified used Honda" so it will have the balance of a 7 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty and a 4 year/48,000 mile non-powertrain warranty. The vehicle is in excellent condition and drives well. We have frequent high winds where I live but the winds were calm during the test drive so I could not accurately gauge performance in the wind. I may need to drive the hybrid on frequent long turnpike trips of 90 miles one way in 20-30mph winds. Will the hybrid engine combo be able to sustain 75mph in those wind conditions? Yes, I know 75mph is not the most fuel efficient speed but it is in fact the posted speed limit on the turnpike and I would not want to be flattened by an 18 wheeler because I could not maintain the same speed as other traffic.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
