Airbag deployment
Is it absolutely essential to replace the SRS control unit once the airbags/seatbelts are deployed? Is it possible to reset the control unit? Is it necessary to replace the front sensors if they are undamaged?
My '03 Civic Hybrid had the bags and belts deployed. A simple reset of the SRS light does not put the light out, and the "Airbags deployed DTC (10-1) comes up. I get a single flash of the SRS light at the end of the sequence, then the light stays on.
