2005 HCH1 code 1440 - IMA motor burnt up three windings
Curious if anyone has seen this before. My 2005 HCH one was operating normally, in traffic yesterday it stopped assisting and threw the IMA, CEL, Bat lights and wouldn’t idle any more. Would key start with 12 volt.
Dropped the transmission to find three burnt coils. Someone with more knowledge than I said I should not have continuity from any of the three motor connections to ground. I get about 3 ohms. 8 ohms between the three phases.
Ive got a spare IMA motor I’ll be swapping in but will need to check my inverter in case it’s shorting something out. Would this be the MCM?
