I have a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid which I bought in 2007. I applied and received the $3000 Federal Tax Credit and the $1500 Oklahoma State Tax Credit in 2008. These tax credits paid for the difference in price between a Hybrid and non-Hybrid V6 Escape. Toyota Prius owners were the first to apply for the OK tax credit and paved the way for all hybrid owners.
