Colorado State Tax Credit - When expire? 2009
Does anyone know when the Colorado State tax credits for the hybrids like the Prius will expire? the latest FYI for Alternative Fuel Income Tax Credits seem to indicate they expire in 2010. When does Colorado update their info? I am thinking of buying a 2009 Prius in 2008 and assume the 2009 amount will be close to the 2008 amount which is $2015.
I am answering my own question...got a call into the Colorado dept of revenue and he confirmed that the credit program continues until 2010 and they the 2009 prius will have a $3110 tax credit...most likely the touring edition, but he was not sure.
Sweet! We've taken advantage of that credit on both of our hybrids. When combined with the federal credit, it was cheaper for us to buy hybrids than the similar gas models. Too bad the federal credit has expired for most manufacturers, but at least Colorado is smart enough to continue it!
