Yukon Hybrid Fog light addition
This is what mine looks like on the denali ... the fog button doesn't stay pressed down in any way, you just push it once for on and once for off. Why not just buy this switch?
Great question. Couple reasons. First off, I like to make things difficult, lol. Secondly, I'm looking for a switch that looks incredibly stock but offers the convenience of remaining in the "on" position after the key is pulled so I don't have to worry about remembering to turn it on every time, like the auto headlights. That, and I like to make things difficult for some reason. Maybe because it's custom...?
Thanks for the pic. That helps my breakdown of the process mentally.

They're definitely bright enough to be fogs, but I was thinkin fogs/DRLs combo (who really uses fog lights for their intended purpose? I mean, MOST people fire up the hi-beams in fog.) AND fogs are SUPPOSED to be yellow. The visibility is like 30-40% better if your fogs are yellow, in fog that is...
To answer the question honestly, I wanted some cool-looking functional bright lights out in front that I could arguably call fog lights, haha

Well, i think I understand.
If the intention is to have the light up as soon as you turn on the ignition and turn off when you turn off the ignition, then I'm not sure you even need a switch ... just tapping into something else that functions the same way would do the trick.
If it is to have them work as a specific function then tap into either the park lights, low beams, drl, or get the oem switch for fogs.
If you want to be able to have them function automatically as well as with a switch, then I'm stumped ... not saying it's not possible, just that I don't know how to achieve that.

I had a '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited (some ba$tard stole it and burned it) that I had the off road light bar wired to an on/off/on switch and a relay that allowed the lightbar to operate with the hi-beams in "on1", be inactive in "off", and be on full time even with the ignition off in "on2". I'd wire it similar to that.
On a different note, thanks a ton for your help, insight, and inquiries. I've learned a TON about these HyHoes from yours and jet1's posts.
Will do!
I'll take pics incase anyone wants to attempt the rocket surgery I'm performing.
Another thing I need to tackle is the roof rack, so I'll see ya on that thread when I pull the trigger on that.

OK, so...
I have prepared a little write-up involving the fog lights on the HyHoes
Keep in mind I have an '08 with every option they offered. 4x4, DVD, Sunroof, Towing, etc..
Here are my findings:
1. The main Power Distribution Center is not equipped for fog lights (I'll explain later)
2. The headlight switch/dome override/[potential] fog light switch is not wired for fog lights and there is not an actual switch in the switch assembly. *Picture 5*
3. It's possible to add fog lights and make it "factory", but it'll be a PITA IMHO... Read on for the steps....
Now for the description:
(incase anyone wishes to attempt this witchery)
In the pictures, look for the green rectangles (these show where the wires are, and should be, depending on the picture, and I'm colorblind so I stuck with green since I can identify it most of the time). That shows where the wire SHOULD be. You'll notice on the PDC (Power Distribution Center) how the fuse, the relay (under under the fuse, but not hilighted) and the harness pinout (bottom side) are ready for factory fog lights. *Picture 2*
The problem lies in:
1.) The switch (easy fix, buy a switch or solder a switch onto the SW3 solder points on the switch, which I will do) (and this also answers my question earlier about turning an additional dome override switch upside down and relabeling it, you can) *Picture 5*
2.) The harness on the switch plug (notice there isn't a wire, and i'm not sure what color it would be) that would run to the PDC to tell the relay to turn on the fog lights [green rectangle] I am going to have to do a little more detective work to ID the correct pin from the fog light switch to the harness under the PDC. *Picture 1*
3.) The main wire harness under the PDC (the plug that the PDC sits into), also hilighted with a [green rectangle]. There is not a wire to connect to the pin on the bottom-side of the PDC. It's just an empty slot. *Picture 3,4*
4.) The wires that run from the PDC to the fog lights themselves (simple wire run) You would have to run a bonded pair to each fog light location (or to one and extend it for the second), the positive of course going to the hilighted [green rectangle] on the harness under where the PDC plugs, and the ground to a grounded source. *Picture 4*
Now, if any of you unfortunate souls wish to perform this dark magic, PM me. I'll do what I can to help out. I own a small low voltage wiring company in Wichita, KS, so it comes pretty natural. I know, I know... What is a colorblind guy doing in the wiring business? Answer?
I don't know! I'm only kind of colorblind and what I can't see I get someone else's eyes for ID. I am also a pretty good troubleshooter.
