not in the 2009's, Guss. It was my understanding that the '10 is no different, just that it has a usb input instead of the miniplug. So you can put a flash drive or ipod direct to the head unit. But loading address contacts is another feature and I don't think my dealer talked about that issue at all. I have to tell you I am disappointed that I can't sync my contacts but worse is that it only holds 30 contacts. My prius will hold all I want to put in it and dial right from them. I understood that the usb port would charge your phone/ipod as well.

Mel,
thanks for your input.
So what I understand is that you can load and store 30 contacts from iPhone using the USB plug? And you can dial them directly from the navigation screen instead of the phone?

Guss, I don't have the USB port but it is my understanding that you can voice dial any of your phone book in the car of the 30 (the 09 only hold 30 contacts) but, there is no sync from iphone to the cars contacts. At least I haven't found a way to sync it, they are all manual load...bummer.

Guss, do you notice how you stay in Autostop when you put it in Reverse in a 2010? Different from the 08-09s.

Hi Guss I just stumbled on this on the internet. The unit is called Peripheral by Media Gateway and is sold by Crutchfield. There technical support is advisors@crutchfield.com. I have sent them an e-mail seeing if this will work on our Hybrids. It is able to allow the Nav Display to control the i-phone and i-pod. If it will work then we will have to consult with GM over any warranty issues, I believe that it will intagrate like a lock pick.

Thanks ken.
I figured out how to use my iPhone using blue tooth and voice activation which is standard in 2010. I love it. I can also connect my iPhone using usb in 2010 and use the nav Touch screen to control my iPod music.
so I guess it does the job. The only thing is missing is displaying the callers name instead of number only on the DIc when receiving a call
