Short airdam update & pics
I had the wide OEM "Summer" airdam switched out today for my shortened OEM "Winter/Hunting Season" off road airdam. To refresh, I bought an extra OEM airdam for $60 and cut it down for better clearance during the Winter.
The OEM air dam is rougly 6 5/8" wide at the sides. Note that the front top has a scalloped edge in the front so it is NOT as wide in the front. I cut just above a mold line 3 3/4" from the BOTTOM of the airdam.
This increases the ground clearance from 8 1/2" to just under 12". More importantly it increases the approach angle from about 10 degrees to 30 degrees.
I am having trouble posting the pics here but if you email me at DJWorm50@aol.com
I will send them to you.
