Default For Sale: 2009 Chevy Tahoe Hybrid

The day has come. I am putting my green machine up for sale. My lovely wife wants a newer body style Tahoe, so I will be parting with the Hybrid.

Such a sweet ride. It will be missed....

The Good: Still under factory powertrain warranty! No known mechanical problems with the vehicle. Meticulously maintained. Fully synthetic oil and 93 octane fuels since I acquired it. I have deleted the resonator and Installed Volant CAI. I still have original intake and will include it in the sale.

The Bad: Very small ding on rear passenger window sill. It should be visible in one of the pictures. While very small, I wanted to list it to be thorough. The vehicle was in an accident before I owned it. Small fender bender with another vehicle which required the front bumper to be replaced. No airbag deployed. No other related damage or bent parts. I checked the vehicle thoroughly before purchasing it. Please feel free to check carfax to confirm this minor accident.

The Ugly: None! No kidding the interior and exterior are in excellent shape! The pictures tell the story and it drives like a dream. Test drives available.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions comments or concerns you may have about this vehicle. Here is the link to Autotrader....

Can you tell me what state/general area you are located? I might be interested in looking at it.

I had my 2009 4WD $80k mile listed on autotrader and craigslist for $25,000 for about 3 months without any serious bites (southern Maryland). I finally ended up trading it in for $23,000 for a 2010 Honda Pilot (they listed it for sale at $26,500). I absolutely LOVED my Yukon but I needed to downgrade. Also I knew that, given it was a hybrid, when it reaced 100k miles that the value would plummet.

You might need to rethink your price given the milage and it only being a 2WD version. GLWS!

I hope you're not disappointed with your pilot. I have a Honda Pilot as well and still have it at 210k miles. It did not give very good mileage compared to my escalade hybrid. I found my hybrid as very reliable than my honda. Every 110k miles you will need a timing belt and water pump replaced. The VTM fluid has to be replaced every 30k miles(4wd). EGR valve/filter somewhere around 80k miles. I'm lucky with my transmission since I replaced the fluid drain and fill every 60k miles. So, as much as I liked the utility and the incognito of driving a pilot, the escalade hybrid's reliability and minimal maintenance cost trumped the pilot.

I also thought 27K sounded optimistic(although I liked it!).

Here in Arizona the Hybrid Tahoe/Yukon's are retailing for 20K-25K and Wholesaling(trade in) for 17K-20K. This is the main reason I opted to keep mine, that and I haven't really found a suitable replacement, I looked at the 2015 Tahoe and it's nice but 60K?

Arizona seems to be the land of the pick up truck and huge SUV, MPG isn't a concern for most consumers here and (all)Hybrids go unnoticed and for the most part unwanted.
I did notice that in California they command a higher price, probably due to the fact that driving a Hybrid there is like a status symbol or something.

The last time I checked kbb has a higher trade in/resale value vs an equally equipped GM SUV.

So yeah $27k was optimistic... Just wanted to see if anyone would bite. The funny thing is, I still love the car. So let's say the listing hasn't been pushed to sell quickly.

I'm willing to entertain any reasonable offers to keep my wife happy. If I have to keep it for 70k more mile, no tears here.

Any takers?

@evois Enjoy your new ride!

Thanks!. Though it is not the same as the hybrid. I can only muster 12mpg in the city while my hybrid never went as low as 17mpg city. In the highway the most range I could get was 487 actual miles with 25.5 gallons used. The hybrid can do it in 550 miles. I liked the adaptive cruise control of the new one though. If a new hybrid from cadillac comes along, you know I'll be back!

I have enjoyed my time here in the forums, and learned some things. I want to thank each of you for your time and input. I'll drop in from time to time to say hello.
