Default Please Help XM trying to screw me

I purchased a new 2009 Yukon hybrid and it came with the standard 3 month xm trial however I noticed on gm website there was a special where you get 3 years free so I called walked them through where you can find it on the site and they verified and applied it. I called back a few times and they kept changing their minds back and forth then finally they said it was not entitled because there is no way they would do something like that. Then they told me it's no longer on the site and of course i told them the promo is over however they have given me a hard time making me prove it to them but they would not consult the rep that saw it on the site and added it.

Please help. I am thinking of looking for higher up's email address to email or call because this is crazy they refuse to verify with the rep and have been giving me a run around I spent over 2 hrs on the phone with them and they just kept saying sir we cannot do that it's not possible I finally got fustrated and said just have the general manger call me back. I even called GM and everyone seems clueless and I know i saw this deal the rep saw it too.
Thanks in advance

Hmmmm,

I never heard of free XM radio for 3 years, what I did hear was free XM NavTraffic (which is a different service) for 3 years ( and that is what I have seen on the website for the 2009 hybrids, the 2008's don't have NavTraffic)

http://www.chevrolet.com/pop/tahoe/2...traffic_en.jsp

I have been an XM subscriber for about 8 years now and have never had a problem with them, so this sounds really wierd to me. But good luck !!!

So i provided the link. My wife finally stepped in because I was getting so frustrated because they refused to get a supervisor on the line. I mean refused.

So we walked them through to where they can find the link she admitted that she sees then 2 minutes later I don't know what site for some reason it's not coming up so they are clearly lying. Then they went on to say the promotion is over so they can't do anything. Now I am pissed because they told me to call back and provide the link because they can't find it so when i provide it they say it has expired and they still refuse to bring the original tech into this so we are going to fax a copy of the page to them which of course they will not receive.

so now what? I think I am going to look for upper management numbers and start calling emailing and faxing daily. I think I am even willing to take this one to small claims court because this is plain horrible customer service.

Go after gm. It is their ad/ promotion . If they are offering something you can't get, contact your state attorney general office. In big cities, there's usually a consumer advocate in the media. If not, CNN would love to hear about a hybrid problem! First call would be gm customer service though. Dealer may help too, at least providing factory rep to contact.

Yeah you have to read the fine print on this one.....

It says 36 months with XM radio and Navtraffic... but when you click the link to learn more the fine print says 3 months XM radio and 3 Years of XM Navtraffic. Kinda misleading on the first link you posted, but that is what they are offering.

When I bought the Tahoe, I got 3 months free of XM radio. I forgot to call them at the end of the 3 months, and XM called me and offered me an additional 3 months for $20. Again I have really had great service with XM (And yes, SIRI XM avioded Chapter 11, a private investor, Liberty Media, bailed them out, but that is another topic)

If you have an issue though, I do agree you should contact GM. But honestly, the fine print clearly defines what you get, so I do not know how much success you will have in court.

And I seriously hope GM dosen't go under. Yes they need to do some restructuring, but I think people fail to realize how big GM is. Not only do they produce Cars here in the US, but worldwide (take a look at GM's overseas websites if you get bored) Many vehicles from the US are exported to other countries, and it would be a shame for an american car company to go under. Just like the American economy affects the worldwide economy, a loss of GM would mean MILLIONS of jobs (if you count subsidaries and part manufacturers) worldwide (and I don't hear of GM giving out Executive bonuses like some OTHER companies are). I have always owned a chevrolet, and even though I would buy chrysler or (GASP) Ford before buying foriegn, I would be very upset.

Again, best of luck to you.

In the past 6 mos. I've bought two American made cars, the Chevy Tahoe hybrid and a 2009 Ford F150. First US cars in 25 years for me and two of the best I've ever owned. These companies have come a long way and we need to support our fellow workers IMHO.
