I'll say. It fixed number 1 too. The pedal doesn't drop like a rock at startup if you are touching it.

These vehicles were some of the most sophisticated on the road before the Volt. The 2 Mode like many other full hybrids can stop using just electric regenerative braking. But the trick is to make your foot on the pedal feel as if it is older school hydraulic. The feel more people are used to.

Without proper calibration the old school pedal feel simulation doesn't work right. It still has the old school hydraulic master cylinder, but that is a back up system.

Just to add onto Hillbilly's comment, same basic system is in the Volt (TRW is the supplier). Different tuning, of course.

had a weird sensation today while waiting in a drive thru. was in auto stop for a bit. started creeping forward and applied brakes and it took a good amount of force to stop. happened once.

is this odd brake behavior normal? doesn't seem safe much!

happens when the engine is cold.
