travelled from little rock to connecticut last spring break and there was no GMC hybrid sighting at all. at least I already saw 2 tahoe hybrid and the other 2 escalade hybrid in town. driving in NYC, ground zero, manhattan, pier/ports, chinatown and little italy, they were all amazed that there is in fact an escalade hybrid. they were all pointing to the car like it was painted pink.

btw, driving thru the hectic NY pace was a dismal 19.9mpg average in 4auto, A/C on front and back and DVD+radio ON with phone charging in the 110V outlet.

 

we have over 500 gm 2modes hybrids in the capital Amman Jordan if not more , and numbers are climbing.
We have a total of 10000 hybrid vehicles (lexus, toyota, GM).
the reason, is that hybrid vehicles are customes exempted, compared to paying 55-85% on regular engines.

Guss at least Jordon has good common sense in regards to the environment and vehicle tax. A lesson in Canada could be learned here. I like the thinking in Jordon thats why I like business there.

 

Jeremy, Before I completed the modifications on my Tahoe Hybrid in stop and go traffic in Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa my MPG average was 23MPG, now with the modifications completed it is much higher. I addition it is also hard to account for the fuel and environment savings when we are in Auto-Stop.

unfortunatetly a new law has been enforced staring end of this month to apply a 55% custom tax on all new imported hybrid vehicles.

Is so weird, I was at SA, Tx a month ago, and could not find a Hybrid no were, GM that is. And here, just in the town I live, not been the main town, there are at least 500+ GM hybrids (All the line from the caddys to the gm's and chevys) and of course all the minions from toyota, MB and BMW.

Pretty fast that X6 hybrid.....wonder why it has 7 fixed ratios, and I have 4, been the same transmission !!???

 

where is it that has so many GM hybrids? The X6 hybrid is pretty worthless, holds five people, very little room for hauling, weighs more than the Tahoe, is slower than the Tahoe, cost much more [double] than the Tahoe, less towing capacity, and lower fuel economy. They won't even let you get it without all of the ugly. I have had little respect for bmw, now I have pretty much none.

I can agree with u in everything but...... Speaking drive train, it has a V8 twin turbo making 400HP, plus the same transmission we have in our beloved hybrids, with the difference of more fixed ratios !!!!

Can't tell you if it is faster than a hoe, but still have to remember that the swastika clan was into the evolving of our transmission, so why they can put 7 and we can have only 4???
