whats up all. im benny and i own a 2008 tahoe hybrid. bought the truck with 9500 miles on it for 32000. real good deal in my opinion. when i got the truck it was getting 17.5 miles to the gallon, im guessing some dealer was heavy footed. i have since brought the mpg up to 19 mpg. i drive alot. i put 30k on the truck last year. also i changed the tires to bridgestone evo 2's .so i have lost a bit there as well. all in all the truck is great and i have had no issues.

how do you go about getting a firmware update?
how do you know if you need an update?

I got two recall notices since I bought my 2008 tahoe hybrid. I took it to the dealer and they did the firmware update in about 1 hour each time.

I think if you take it to the dealer they can run the history of your vehicle and see if it has had the latest firmware.
