I have a diagnostic code P215B. Vehicle Speed/output shaft speed correlation. Had anyone came across this issue? If so, where was the part found. The local parts stores are providing me with the wrong part for the hybrid.

 

The hybrids are extra fussy about knowing vehicle speed. They constantly compare all 4 wheel speeds to the driveshaft speed.


Did you run it with drive wheels off the ground and front NOT turning?


Are there also wheel speed codes or Stabilitrack Messages?

 

I have not checked any of that yet. No stabilitrak codes. That's the only one I could find. It is jerking intermittently.

 

Also note that you need to read all the codes not just from Engine. Did you change tire size?


That code sets when the driveshaft speed does not compare mathematically with wheel speeds after some time by a specific percent.


If any of the speed sensors are dropping out, the dealer scan tool can read their raw signals to look.
