Default another truck issue

09 sierra with 173,5xx miles. ive noticed my fuel mileage has decreased lately. the other I noticed the truck wasn't going into autostop. when I pressed the accelerator pedal the engine revved up. I let off and it tried again. its been doing this for a week now. seems to be getting worse. ive scanned the entire truck several times using a tech 2 and no dtcs to be found. the truck kinda jerked when it revved. I replaced the aux trans pump a few months ago and its not the same jerk feeling ive felt with that. expecting a major component to be on its way out the door. trans or the hybrid battery. my cost on the trans is 3,156. I cant find a hybrid battery unless I get it from an aftermarket place at 3,450. any input?

I'm not familiar with the Sierra, but...

If you are using your heater/defroster more than usual, that can cause the ICE to run more. Additionally, very low temperatures can adversely impact/disable the hybrid system.

not really. its been in the 30s but now in the 50-60s but I don't really use them. It gets hot in there real quick. lol. the way it acts on take off and revving up without actually moving is my concern.

An 09 with 173,xxx miles is well within the expectation of needing a new battery.

Only if you can't get a new one from a dealer, I'd check out http://www.besthybridbatteries.com/p...hybrid-battery

Did you happen to take before and after pics? I wouldn't expect that to be a fix unless the cooling system was notably compromised.

Usually cooling system performance issues will generate a code for that coincident with any actual battery performance issues. The car knows the load, the temp and the cooling system output. When those numbers get out of sync, it throws the corresponding code.

Regardless, I hope the fix works!
