It's not so bad. I was going to start a NiMh hybrid battery re-build shop when I retire.

Unlike so many I have been around the technology a little over 2 decades in a Research and Development capacity.

I'm not going to share my "testing method" quite yet for sorting reusable cells.
But alas GM stopped building these and the newer plug-ins don't use that chemistry.

The $2700 is list price. You might try to get out the door under $2900

Good luck. The new one has changes in the computer that Panasonic did after 2009. The computer comes in the battery.

The new one should last longer.

Thanks, Hillbilly.

Should I ask the dealership if the battery is the new generation then? I just want to make sure I don't get a "rebuilt" one from the dealership. If that's not a possibility, then all is good.

There are NO rebuilts authorized by GM. Only new. Only the most recent programming.

The chemistry is the same. The programming has changed since 2008.

Default 08 hybrid tahoe stalling/ low acceleration

So should my just traded hybrid with a new 300v last longer? If so, no wonder it was sold in less than a week.

Yes it starts up just fine. The problem only occurs randomly when I come to a stop, and then start going again, when it switches from auto stop to engine[/QUOTE]

were you able to ever find the problem to this? My car does the same thing but the only code that is presented is P0AC4

it's the hybrid battery pack most likely. get one of the 20$ obd2 port adapters, down load torque pro app for 5$. add the pids for the battery voltage from this thread and log. most likely you'll find it hurt badly. in the mean time, try driving in M4 mode, it won't go into auto stop and help keep the voltage up enough to drive fairly safely for a while longer but the mileage will be as almost as bad as a normal Tahoe.
