Question Two-mode hybrid factory tours?

Hi,

Anyone know here these will be built and if they have a factory tour?

I'm just down the road from the Saturn plant but I'd really like to see the heavy metal hybrids when they are being built.

Thanks,
Bob Wilson

According to this article, the transmissions are built in White Marsh, Maryland:

And this article mentions an assembly plant in Arlington, Texas:

Not sure if either offers a tour.

I think the GM plant in Arlington,TX offers no tours to the public, much less the hybrid line?

I'll ask tomorrow, I'm employed by a very closely related company that does the post manufacturing load to railcar right down the street.

looking back at this, i'm really wondering how the factories operate now especially that the we are experiencing global recession. cars, car parts, car covers, accessories, everything is pretty much affected.

I know this thread is old but I got this info off of my window sticker. However, my salesman told me the Silverado/Sierra Hybrid assembly was in Ottawa, Canada.
The window sticker said the final assembly point was Silao, GJ, Mexico and added that 75% of the vehicle contained US/Canadian Parts and the major source of foreign parts was Mexico at 18%.
