The Volt gains on the LEAF, but both falter near the finish line
Sales of the Chevy Volt accelerated in November – over 1,100 units – even as sales of Nissan’s Leaf continued to sputter – 672 units for the month... Newswire >
Each car has its own place. The Leaf will soon be shown as a car not to have where you get much below 30F. There are already owner reports on heater performance on both cars but at least once the Volts engine starts up you thaw out.
Range anxiety will also become part of the dialog. If you plan your trips well you can make it. However if you get caught in a hot humid traffic jam... drop the AC.
So let fuel go up again and let both companies build as many as thay can. We will see.

I just drove the volt and liked it. it is the fully loaded one and the center stack is touchscreen as well as the buttons, etc. not having to worry about until after 50 miles and a longer driving range, makes this car very practical.
