I saw on the local news last night (ABC7) that 50 people in the Chicagoland area have ordered the Tesla sight unseen already. I believe they were able to check it out at the Museum of Science and Industry last night where they had several on display. The news stated that the Tesla would get 200 mpc (Miles Per Charge). Supposedly delivery won't be taken until a year from now.

I looked at the Apteras online and I don't think we'll be seeing them in the midwest anytime soon. Personally I don't think they would fair too well in the snow, but that is just my honest ignorant opinion.

I'll tell you what though I'd buy an electric vehicle with a range of 200MPC if it were reasonably priced. That would be a great work car and around town car.

 

for sure, snow would be an issue for these Apteras.
