ok i got it evs help reduce emissions and no gas expense and the government is pushing this but you first have to buy one wow look how much these things cost and when charging evs a lot of power companies still use coal probably the dirtyest form of emissions to charge that ev so its a moot point then what happens when the battery pack goes bad and you have to buy one when car is out of warrenty 20 or 30 thousand dollars and dont forget the electronics of these cars are crazy how many computers do they have and sensors plus what ever else they have and again the problem is when these cars run out of warrenty if you cant afford to buy and repair these cars when they fail and they will again when warrenty runs out so you try to trade them in whats the resale value when it needs a 30000 battery ill never own one
