Spelling, adding links, adding pictures, fixing mis-placed quote & /quote, clever placement of subliminal suggestion triggers, the usual

Wow that is a nice looking car! So Martin, can you say anything about it's probability of being built and available? I figured I'll be in the market for a new car in 2009 - this is one I'd wait for.

I can only give you the politically correct answer.....

"......
A technological breakthrough required to make this concept a reality is a large lithium-ion battery. This type of electric car, which the technical community calls an “EV range-extender,” would require a battery pack that weighs nearly 400 pounds (181 kg). Some experts predict that such a battery – or a similar battery – could be production-ready by 2010 to 2012........."

Several companies (including Cobasys / Chevron) are working on developing lighter weight and higher cpacity lithium ion batteries, so we'll see if / when / how that piece of the puzzle comes together.

So what you need to do is, lease a Tahoe / Yukon 2-Mode in early 2008. When you're ready to come off-lease in 2010.....who knows, eh?

Peace,

Martin

Maybe thats what your people are telling you, but having talked to A123 and Johnson Controls, I know that the batteries are ready to go. And they are just chomping at the bit to put them in.
