I live one city away from a big ozone factory! It just reeks every time I drive by it. No alerts though, dunno if we really need to be frightened about it, or not...

Ozone action day?

It's far away from an urban area but there is a town named Ozona, Texas (pop 3,436).

Austin, TX has Ozone Action days. Bus rides are free on those days. (Like today)

Sounds like when the kids go bizserk in their play room. An Oh-no-zone alert, for sure.

At the present time, the five parishes surrounding Baton Rouge are classified as a severe ozone non-attainment area.

Which means ozone alert days and the threat of reformulated gasoline if the levels don't drop within the next 3 years.

Regards,

Me and our family live in rural N. Georgia but I commute daily into the city of Atlanta which does have the alert.

Hi All:

___The EPA has a great site in regards to Air Quality and its measurement. Makes for a good read at 03:00 AM when you don’t have anything else better to do … Like sleep! It will help you do that as well

The EPA’s and other government sponsored web site: AirNow

___Good Luck
