What years of FEHs have interchangeable PCU? I'm assuming '05 to '07 at least? '08 '09 '10 all had significant engine battery upgrades etc, so maybe not interchangeable?

I'm shopping for a used PCU for my 2006 FEH.

PCM are VIN specific. They MUST be programmed for your specific vehicle, and they aren't cheap. You might be able to find a local PCM repair shop that can repair/reprogram yours or swap another for you. $300-500 is going to be a typical price.

So, even if I find a 2006 FEH and bull the PCM on it, I'll have to have that re-flashed to the proper VIN !? I guess to maintain odo integrity etc.

 

Yes. I can't confirm that it would even work before it was flashed.
