Is there a specific model number for each Escape variation (Hybrid, 4wd, 2wd, tribute,...)? Or it is the same for all?

Click on the eBay link I posted above. The seller invites you to send them your VIN so they can confirm that it is the correct number PRIOR to making a purchase. The seller obviously has access to the same database system the Ford parts department uses.

The SJB is shown to be behind the interior fuse panel or maybe the fuse is attached to it, not sure. I've had the top on the console off on a FE and I assume that the FEH is similar in that respect. There isn't much room in there and would require removing the side panels, storage area, etc. Not sure how easy that'll be with the seats in the way.

Even after that, I "believe" the SBJ will have to be programmed and you can't do that yourself. If you did manage to replace it yourself, will a new SJB allow the vehicle to be started and driven??

Unfortunately we wouldnt be able to help with any diagnostics, you would need to get it checked by a certified mechanic or your local Ford dealer to pinpoint the exact problem.

I don't believe you asked the seller the correct question. You can't expect them to accurately diagnose your problem through an email. IF you determined your SJB is at fault, you should only ask them if the one they were selling fits your vehicle or not.

 

Just different names for the same thing. The security stuff is inside the smart junction box so I guess they call it a security module now.

As for the tpms sensors in the rims, my mechanic just replaced all the Ford ones with EZ-sensors made by Schrader. They cost 1/4 as much as the Ford ones, and they can clone/copy the identification information off any other sensor such as the Ford ones. So if you have two sets of rims, they can be set up so you can swap sets without tpms problems.
