Okay, let's not restate what's going on anymore.

I'll leave this thread open not for others to chime in on various ways to restate what's been said or to re-elaborate on what they've said, but in the event that Jerry or someone else wants to discuss their experiences with having the problem corrected.

If you can't do that, the thread gets closed. Simple as that.

Jerry,

What happened with this issue? Please let us know what the dealer found.

Cheers!

Update. It only happened twice after I picked it up from the original dealer. I took it to another dealer in Tampa and the tech there was a little more knowledgable. He went over all the systems and could not find anything wrong with anything. Since then we've taken a few 100 mile road trips and it has not happened again. It's also alot warmer now, yesterday almost 90 and overnight temps are going up. So I don't know what to think at this point.

Hey folks, this may have been mentioned already, but new hybrid owners should be aware there is an actual emblem on the dashboard (it's a cute green circle surrounding a car image in the lower right on the '08) indicating the car has been started.

Took me a day or two to figure this out...after I nearly rolled into a brick wall, not having realized my engine was on.

So far I've had my '08 for about two weeks and I just love it. Still looking for excuses to go on errands & stuff...
