I have the 2009 Escape Hybrid w/ NAV. I just enabled the RDS function and see that it works when you are looking at the NAV screen; the text displays on the touch screen. The problem I have is that I am interested in having it display on the dash display (the one above that shows the time, media type, compass, etc) but it won't. It seems there is a huge area of unused display area that never shows anything (except for the date when the radio is off). I seem to remember in a non-NAV version of the FEH that the dash display would indeed show the artist/title of the song on the radio.

Anybody know if this is possible on the NAV version? How can I do it?

 

I'm pretty sure it is a programming thing with the FEH. I bought a 2008 without NAV and it displayed the information on the screen you are talking about. Later I installed a factory NAV unit and the song/RDS information no longer displays on the LCD screen, only on the NAV screen.

(If you really want the RDS information to display on that small screen I suppose you could swap the NAV unit with the 6-CD changer. I have an extra one just sitting in my closet I could sell you cheap.)
