Price
What`s a good price for the Ford hybrid or Mercury? The local dealer has several on the lot. I talked to the Mercury dealer last month while Ford and Mercury were having their big sale and they would have given me 1400 off on the Mercury but it is a 4wd. I have an 04 HCH and it is hard to give up 50 mpg for 36 but I need the room. Both of the Mercurys are still on the lot and are not moving!

Re: Price
Go to www.consumerreports.org and Pay $12 for a all the information about what the dealer pays for each individual option -- what the bottom price is for the dealer and what holdbacks/incentives they are being offered by Ford. Helped us get a **** good deal on our FEH.

Re: Price
If they aren't moving, go in and make an offer a couple thousand below sticker and see what happens. If th salesman laughs at you or turns down your offer, leave him your name and number and leave. Gas prices are inching up again, people may start getting interested in hybrids again.
I got both of mine below sticker and got real good trade-ins on my former vehicles, btw.
Plus, you get a tax credit this year of a couple thousand or so. Unlike those of us who bought in '04 or '05, we only get a $2000 deduction.
