I have a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid with < 35K miles on it. Some years back I had a cracked tone ring, which I had the dealer fix. I got the ABS and 4x4 warning lights and as I was only 5 miles from the dealer, I drove it there.

Now it seems (presumably) the ring on the other wheel has gone, as I just got the lights again. But I am 60 miles from a dealer. Can I safely drive the vehicle back home and to the dealer, or must I have it towed? I called the dealer, one told me it was safe, the other dithered. I've read about this issue on the internet and it seems it MIGHT be safe, but I would like more opinions. As soon as I got home I would take it in to the dealer.
