Default Paint Peel

Just took in the 08 FEH to Ford. The paint on the driver's side front bumper is pelling off. The body man said he had not seen this on a Ford in a long time. This has happened only 2 weeks short of 1 year.

Has anyone else had any paint pelling off of their FEH?

Hope this is the exception not the rule.

I just noticed yesterday the paint peeling on my 08. I plan on calling the dealer tonight.

Sort of a related question (I think, kind of, maybe??)....

On both sides of the vehicle, just in front of the rear wheels there is a sticker (for lack of a better term) that is the same color as the vehicle's paint. It's probaly 6" x 4". Anyone know what this is for?

If its like my old Ford Probe the sticker is actually clear... and it is for preventing damage from stones and such.

Possibly. I looked at it again last night. It's actually in FRONT of the real wheel...not in a place you would think stoned would hit though.

Thats exactly where it was on my Probe as well..... The body flares out for the back wheel well.... that flare gets pelted by stones from the FRONT wheel. Thats why its there.

No paint peeling here, and hope to never see any. There might have been some contamination on your vehicle's bumper before it was painted. My vehicle is usually not garaged, but I keep wax on it, so I will notice any defects pretty quickly. Thanks for the heads-up, sorry about your issue...
