Default P2004 Code

So after successfully making one 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid out of two (See separte post regarding discharged Hybrid Battery issue), the only significant issue I now have is a P2004 code. The FEH drives fine but the code is not allowing the car to pass emmissions, and it needs to be fixced in less than a month or I am liable for penalties.

It is related to the IMRC system at the intake manifold. The solenoid has been replaced. I believe I have the vacuum lines back on correctly. The spring loaded damper actuator lever is not binding and is moving freely. I hope to take a closer look at it this coming Friday. Does anyone else have any experience with this issue, and have any sugestions on what else to look for or how to diagnose?

Thanks,

Doug

Hello DValley49,

Did you ever figure out what was causing your P2004 error code?
