I change at 10k if I'm using a Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy or straight Mobil 1 synthetic. I change at 15k if I'm using Mobil 1 Extended Performance.

If I wanted to overengineer the question, I'd recommend a change interval based on engine hours meter normalized for engine RPM, engine temp, and intake air humidity. Good luck with your decision! : )

The best way to tell when to change your oil is to use engine oil analysis for data on your own vehicle. I have been using Blackstone analysis and I have been able to average about 14,000 miles between changes with an adequate safety margin on the old oil.
