I was just curious as to if doing my own oil changes will that effect extended warranty claims, they want records of such things, for regular maint. Do i just keep reciepts and mark milage on them at the time i do the service?? what does everyone else do, Found the oil filter at walmart, Fram and it came with o-rings. they have the motorcraft oil also.

 

Keep a maintenance log (mileage and date) with receipts and you should be OK. Better yet write the extended warranty company and get in writing what they will need.
