Re: Next Generation Escape at Detroit Auto Show
So what does everyone think? Personally I'm going to have to take some time to grow into liking the new design. Kinda stuck in the old school look of the current generation on the street. Europe always leads the way...

I like the current-gen Kuga, but the concept unveiled in Detroit will take some warming up to for me. The super swept back "dragon eye" lights are extreme even compared to the 2011 Fiesta.
A 1.6L I4 EcoBoost could be a spritely little engine. Ford's been heading down the lower-displacement, turboed engines recently to achieve greater fuel economy.

"...turboed engines recently to achieve greater fuel economy..."
No, NOT...!!
Turboed engines, by design, MUST run in derated/detuned mode, substandard compression ratio, when off-boost. That means that approximately 98-99% of the time, for the clear majority of owners, FE will be substandard.
