Default New 2008 FEH 4WD

Hello everyone,

My employeer just gave me a new 2008 FEH 4WD !!! I do drive several hundred miles a week for business, but I also have full personal use, and a company gas credit card. So since I don't pay for fuel at all, am I nuts that I'm trying to get the best possible MPG out of the FEH?

I totally love my 4WD FEH and I currently getting 33.6 MPG!

WOW, not a bad deal. I'm GREEN with envy. Welcome to the board. The MPG will get even better with time. And no you are not nuts for trying to get great MPG. It's kind of like a sport for me. Keep us posted

Thanks. I wasn't expecting this at all and was quite surprised when my boss told me (he got one as well). I guess there's something to be said for staying with the same employer for over 10 years.

My little brother's boss gave him a 2005 FEH since he runs parts between locations all the time, but he also gets to take it to, and from work every day... and he gets to use it for personal use on the weekend.

He shares it with the boss on work days.
From me, my brother knows how to drive it gently, and gets nearly 40 MPG.
He says the boss likes the quick, electric acceleration, and drives it hard.

Something just went wrong at 35,950 miles and said "stop safely now".
First word is it is transmission related, but we shall see.

My 2005 just had the A/C condenser fail, ( how I don't know ) and the part is days away, so I got a 2007 Fusion as a loaner. It has nearly the same 2.3L I4 gas engine, non hybrid-ized... but has far LESS power than my hybrid.

On day one, the Fusion is getting me about 35 MPG overall.
Not bad from a non-hybrid! ( mostly highway )

Congratulations! You're so lucky I had to pay for mine. I agree I love to see how much mpg I can get out of it.

I'm taking mine in for it's first service tomorow. This makes me nervous like going to the dentist or doctor for a check up.
