Talking My 2nd load of useful TSBs. Enjoy!

First load can be found at https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...this.7675.html

1. Gas station fuel pump shut off frequently or slow fill. (Fuel tank filler pipe needs to be replaced.)
2. Leather loose on steering wheel. (New glue.)
3. Rear liftgate headliner falls off. (New glue.)
4. A/C vent can not shut off. (Replace new revised version vent.)
5. Rear defroster inoperative or poor radio reception. (Fix defroster lines.)

Enjoy! Third load is coming soon!

btw, dealers usually don't do TSB check for you, even if they do, they will most likely say your car has no problem. I heard Ford pays them differently for warranty repairs, it's lower than their normal shop rates, so dealers would be happy to fix non-warranty repairs because they get more $$$. If you live in New Jersey, I highly recommend Oasis Ford (my selling dealer) and Bell Ford NJ, these two dealers are very cooperative and willing to assist you, DO NOT GO TO LOMAN FORD!! THEY SUCK!! THEY WILL TRY TO GET EVERY PENNY OUT OF YOUR POCKET!! AND CLAIM BLAH BLAH IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, IT'S ALL BS!!!

I am new to the site & forums. I am glad I have been turned onto them though, very helpfull & resourceful. I just purchased a 2006 Escape that has hard to close vents.... is this what you were referring to? Or what specifically is this post in regards to, thanks in advance.

Yes it is what I'm referring to! I had one of mine replaced recently.

I just got the door seals replaced per the first round of TSBs posted. It made a huge difference! Previously it would creak when driving slowly, but now, nothing! It seems a ton quieter, but some of that is just my perception. The old seals were a fairly hard rubber. These are nice and soft, and more substantial too.

Thanks again for the TSBs, and please keep 'em coming!

Any idea on any TSB's, or how to get them, for the 06 FEH?

I don't know if this has been discussed already, or if there is an official TSB or not, but recently I took mine in because the A/C was not very cold. 1 or 2 others I know had this problem also.

Turns out when I showed up at the dealer, they knew exactly what was wrong, and what to do about it right away. They had the problem fixed and the car was returned to me in slightly more than 1 hour. I was very pleased, and have icy cold A/C now.

Turns out Ford got a batch of bad O-rings for the high pressure 134a refridgerant lines that allows a slow leak over weeks or months. Your A/C may reduce in performance so slowly, you may not notice, until you find yourself sweating one day ( or EV won't run because the battery cannot be cooled either.)

JUST FYI

Okay. I'm gonna sound like a complete newbie. I've looked in the glossary. I've read the posts (1st set of TSB's and 2nd). so, I'm gonna have to swallow my pride and ask......

What does TSB stand for?
