I would suspect that since the FEH is a much heavier and higher vehicle than an Insight, it needs a much stiffer suspension to handle properly.
I've noticed that my FEH tends to stay relatively level during cornering, braking, and acceleration which (to me) is an indication of a properly tuned suspension. The independent design helps smooth out the ride (try driving a Jeep Wrangler or Liberty for comparison), but it's no Cadillac.
On a car, you can have a pillowy ride and it's still relatively safe with a low center of gravity, but on a SUV it is not.

Back to tires, would there be agreement that a D range (65psi) is a good tradeoff for LRR/ride on a FEH?
