Default Just a FYI on repainting

I was skimming through the workshop manual the other day looking for something else and this message kep reappearing in bold! If placing a FEH in a paint booth the HVB Battery pack must be removed first, the battery pack can not with stand the high heat.

Or something similar to those words.

Just thought I'd pass along, just incase someone is changing colors or geta a major repair done...

Makes sense... Paint booths bake at 160-180degF for long enough that the entire vehicle, even the deepest parts like the battery pack, would see most of that heat.

Wouldn't a Escape parked in the sun all day in the SoCal Desert @ 120º + create this much heat on the battery pack?

I mentioned this to a friend with a paint/body shop. His reply was that they do not need to heat the booth over 140 F, not really hotter (inside)than a hot sunny day here in San Diego.

I thought San Diego was always like 75 degrees? It has never been much hotter than that when I was there in the summer.
