Hi all, I just last night purchased a brand spanking new 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid FWD. This is my second hybrid vehicle. My first was a 2003 Toyota Prius. It performed flawlessly in its 60,750 miles of service. However, I simply need to have more space available for carrying passengers. I'll miss my 55 mpg mileage numbers, but I'll have my fun seeing how high I can push the FEH. On it's maiden voyage home, with a hefty north crosswind, and less than 200 miles on the odometer, I still pulled into my driveway 2.3 mpg over the EPA highway number. I can't wait to see what this car will be capable of when things get broken in.
Mine has the NAV/hybrid computer, the "appearance" package, and rear floor mats. It's about as simply equipped as I could find, while still maintaining the hybrid computer that the Prius spoiled me on. I even got the color that I wanted - silver.
All that I need to do, is get my XM permanently mounted, and get the front two windows tinted, and get a hitch installed for pulling my small trailer. Oh yeah, I was also able to get it for $915 below sticker.
