Default Instant Fuel Economy Bar

Can anyone with a ScanGuage track and see what each block on the Instant Fuel Economy represents? There are nine blocks when it is completely full.

Something like this...

<5mpg-one block
5-10 -two blocks
10-15 - three blocks

So on and on. I don't forsee getting a SG anytime soon, so I'd like to know this information to help with my driving technique.

I don't think it is that simple. I have had a full block display with both the ICE on and during EV. During EV, you could be achieving 30 mpg, 50 mpg or almost any other number. Thus, each block could represent a different ratio/proportion of the overall Mpg.

It is so much better to obtain the Scangauge.

Well a full load of blocks would be 30+ or 40+. In EV mode it's obviously infinity

That doesn't make sense, during EV you are not using gas, so they are all lit up with the max of "99.9" mpg. I can get them all lit when in ICE mode as well, but I think the top bar represents about 35 mpg.

Find a road where you can keep the bar graph stable and then reset your avg mpg display. I think that is pretty accurate, I have done it and if I remember correct about midway (maybe 1 block more) is 34-5. I try to keep mine in the middle or 1 above and if I do I get 34-5, the more I keep it above middle the higher my average climbs.

A rough estimate is about 6MPG/bar.

You are correct. Brain drain caused me to switch instant with average.

So if I floor it, I'm only getting 6mpg or less?

Floor it? I have no idea how far down that pedal can go...don't think it's been much past 5 mm lol. My wife says I'm driving Miss Daisy now.

If you really must floor it, try putting it in N first
