Highest speed in EV mode.

Highest speed in EV mode.
Even when fully warmed up I cannot get my FEH to stay in EV mode above about 28-29 mph unless I'm going slightly downhill. On level ground I see it regularly go ICE at 27-28 even under a light pedal.
What top speeds are you people seeing for EV on level ground?
Also anything particular to check to make sure ICE MPG are at their best. I've replaced the plugs and run some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank a couple of tanks back.

Re: Highest speed in EV mode.
Your experiences are typical. It is possible for the 1st generation FEH to reach 39.9 or so mph going downhill in EV before the ICE starts up. Your question on how fast in EV on level ground also depends upon the "AMPS". If you have a scanguage with this display you realize once the AMPS hit 50 or more, there is a great chance the ICE will fire up.
Your fuel mileage (mpg) is going to take a nice hit with the seasonal colder weather. It will go back up once the warmer spring weather arrives.
Skip the fuel injector cleaner stuff.
