Default Highest speed in EV mode.

Even when fully warmed up I cannot get my FEH to stay in EV mode above about 28-29 mph unless I'm going slightly downhill. On level ground I see it regularly go ICE at 27-28 even under a light pedal.
What top speeds are you people seeing for EV on level ground?

Also anything particular to check to make sure ICE MPG are at their best. I've replaced the plugs and run some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank a couple of tanks back.

Your experiences are typical. It is possible for the 1st generation FEH to reach 39.9 or so mph going downhill in EV before the ICE starts up. Your question on how fast in EV on level ground also depends upon the "AMPS". If you have a scanguage with this display you realize once the AMPS hit 50 or more, there is a great chance the ICE will fire up.

Your fuel mileage (mpg) is going to take a nice hit with the seasonal colder weather. It will go back up once the warmer spring weather arrives.

Skip the fuel injector cleaner stuff.

2008 AWD, 30 MPH max on level ground. The Gen 2 is much better in this respect.

2006 FEH AWD
I might be able to get to 32, not sure that might've been a real slight downslope. More than 30 is tough at least, super light touch.

Thanks, I set up 'AMPS' on my scangauge and with that available I'm having better luck keeping it in EV mode, especially on one stretch of road on the way home. Gotta empty that battery just before shutdown.

2011 FEH. 45mph is the max for EV mode (uphill, downhill, or flat).
