i am a new owner of a 06 escape, was going to take it to the detail shop to have it cleaned. was wondering if having the engine compartment cleaned will be ok?

I've taken a hose, soapy water, and scrub brush to mine a couple times and had no problems at all. After I'm done washing it I do use a can of compressed air to blow dry all the wiring connectors in the bay though, just in case. No sense corroding everything THEN having problems in the future.

 

I had a complete detail and the engine came back looking brand new. No problems.
