Default Does your keyless entry number pad light up?

My other Porsche, aka Ford Windstar 2001, has an identical keyless entry keypad as my new 08 MMH. The Windstar's keypad lights up when a key is depressed, or when I unlock the doors. Not so in the MMH however -- it appears to have no such feature.

What I am wondering is that is it supposed to light up? Anyone with 08 Escape/Mariners can help?

See that makes sense. Hope they didn't make them go dark in the 08's!

If you see another '08 Mariner, be it at a dealer or just in a parking lot, go up to it and press one of the buttons to check of it lights up or not.

I am going to go to the dealership and do just that. I will be disappointed if Ford's "unlighted" it, but if it's bad wiring then I would want it fixed.

That would make no sense at all, those things have ALWAYS been lit up. I work in the auto business & I've never seen one that didn't light up.

Hmm... then it's for sure going to get looked over at the dealers this week-end.
