Default Did I cause my brake system problem?

My 08 Escape Hybrid currently has ABS & BRAKE dash lights on along with "Check Brake System" msg. ForScan indicates four ABS codes (U2023-A0, C1478-A0, C1313-A0, C1480-E0), which, oddly, point to both right and left front wheels. Also seeing PCM codes P1A0C-FF (hybrid PCM - engine disabled) and U0418-FF.

This problem occurred immediately after carelessly tossing multiple heavy bags of cat litter into the rear cargo area. Any chance I messed up a connection to/from the high-voltage battery or something like that? If you think it's just a coincidence then I'll proceed with the usual suggestions posted elsewhere for resolving ABS problems (tone rings, grounds). Thanks.

Default Re: Did I cause my brake system problem?

Mechanic diagnosed as collapsed front brake lines. Replaced brake lines and reset ABS module. We'll see if the warning light stays off....
