All weather M&S tires aren't "snow tires" either, but they are designed to handle moderate snow. However, the hybrid's tires aren't even M&S. So, I would never have thought them, or expected them, to perform well in conditions they weren't designed for.

Can't vouch for yours... but mine are clearly marked M+S on the sidewall.

I can't believe how many people don't actually LOOK at the features of the car they bought.
The side wall of my 2005 stock EcoPlus tires say "M+S" on the sidewall, and have been terrific in snowiest Denver winter in like 80 years.
I even have the 2x4 version, and go to ski resorts in the High Country every week, and have had great traction in all kinds of weather.
