Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off

Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off
Hello!
I wake up this morning with my (FEH) Ford Escape Hybrid 2009 WON'T START. No click, any sound, lights or nothing, except the Airbag Light ON on the Control/dashboard. I can hear stranged sound underneath the dashboard. I tried srating it several time, but it seems that there is no power at all.
Is the engine shut-off or is the battery drained or what? What's wrong? What do I do? Please help, any suggestion or solution will be appreciated!
Thank you so much for your help!

Re: Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off
I found the Solution myself, LOL! and I want to share it here!
As soon as I got home, I tested the 12V battery, and it is only at 3.5 charged.
So, I got a jump starter, hook it up with my other car, and wallaahh! it works.
I figured out what happened. The low voltage battery was depleted, because I inserted a folder in between the passenger seat, which I believed had triggered the Airbag Sensor to make it work overnight. It's like somebody is seated in the passenger seat. After, I jumpt start it. I tested again the battery and it came up to 14.2 charged.

Re: Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off
I have a 09 and the Air bag should shut off after the key is truned off.
this car has a timed smart junction box.
you my still have a draw on the system somewhere or a bad battery.

Re: Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off
I checked my battery load yesterday as soon as I arrived home, and when the ignition if Off. It shows at 12.6 load, is this a good or bad battery, or is nearing replacement stage?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off
battery draw is measured in Amps, not volts.
you will need a DVOM Digital volt ohm meter that can read 10 amp draw.
you then take off the negative post and put it in series with the battery and wait for up to 20 min to see what your reading is.
At the end of all this it should not read more then 0.030 amps.

Re: Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off
I am just wondering if this incident refutes the fact that "starting a FEH is handled by the ECV battery"? I have been hearing that when you first start a FEH it is the ECV that do the job and not the 12V battery. Now that when my 12v battery is dead, it does not start unless I jump start it, where in fact the ECV battery is OK.

Re: Airbag Light = Engine Shut-Off
The 12 volt battery boots the computer and fires the relay for the traction battery.
If you have low voltage this will cause strange things to happen.
The computer needs good voltage to start 12 or better, not a lot of amps but GOOD voltage.
then it can run in the 280 volt battery.
