Default 2010 vs 2012

I have a 2010 AWD Escape Hybrid that has been an excellent vehicle for me. It's my 3rd. Escape Hybrid. It has just over 100k miles. I typically sell my cars around this mileage. Would love a Rav4 Prime plugin but $.
So, thinking about a 2012 AWD Escape Hybrid. Might be impossible to find.
My question is what are the differences between the 2010 and 2012 Escape Hybrid AWDs.
I'm concerned with gas mileage but would consider a non-hybrid if the mpg was pretty good. I need AWD.
Looking for info and opinions.

As far as I know there are no significant differences between a '10 and a '12 in terms of engineering. There might be some small cosmetic differences and of course the extra two years of dealer service bulletins, but any well-maintained '10 should have had the same things done to them. The rest comes down to options and cosmetics as far as I know.

In other words, if you like your '10 and can find a good '12 with a fully functional A/C system and the proper maintenance done (fluid changes, regular maintenance) - you'll like the '12 models too and won't be surprised by anything super-special.

They ARE available but sparsely. Their used value has also gone through the proverbial roof like everything else. This one is asking almost $22,000 and has only about 32,000 miles on it!!!

BUT as you know - the battery is still 10 years old..and...It is NOT a limited NAV model (at least it has bluetooth for phone) and it's showing AVG 19.6 MPG?

Now, that is in OHIO so it is possible they started it during a very cold snap, drove it just a few miles with a cold HV battery, and didn't realize how badly that MPG reading reflects on a vehicle they're asking so much for.

Or it could be that the HV battery is already defunct even with only 32k miles. It looks super-clean though. I bet they know next to nothing about Hybrids.

09 has the battery cooling. 10-12 does not. Also the electric A/C on the newer models. The battery is just going to work until it doesn't. 19.6mpg is like bad/clogged injectors or completely not using the battery. If it was driven.
