I never noticed this before this weekend while I was cleaning out my older car brochures, but the 2006 MMH, with the roof rack cross bars standard, is EPA rated at 33/29. The 2007 MMH, without the cross bars available at all, has a lower EPA rating of 32/29.

Here is a full pic of the Mariner's center stack. I am pretty sure it is also close to the Escape's center stack too.

My only guess is that it will reside where the radio controls are. Since it is going to be a 6 1/2" touchscreen, they could integrate the radio controls into the navigation/hybrid software.

I would like to seen a pic of the navigation system, but I haven't been able to find one anywhere.

I noticed yesterday that Ford has the 2008 Escape and Escape Hybrid on their Ford Vehicles website (if anyone was interested...) They don't give much infor on it, but you can sign up for updates. Plus it is a way for them to formally announce it...
