2007 FEH: Cracked plastic on liftgate

2007 FEH: Cracked plastic on liftgate
I just noticed a 1 1/2 inch crack on the plastic on the liftgate. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I'm looking at the reflection in the paint of the parallel lines. Judging by how they are offset as you go from one side of the crack to the other side of the crack, it looks to me like the crack is from an impact (one side was pushed in).

Looks more like someone tried to lift the liftgate open hard before the actuator released, does anyone else drive the vehicle? Teenagers especially wouldn't mention that something like that happened until the owner noticed it.

I bought my 07 FEH with that piece of plastic already broken. The dealership mentioned that it was reletivly common for that model year. I am unable to find a replacement on fordparts.com if you end up figuring it out please post a reply with the part number.

The basic part numbers is YL8Z7841018 and the primed one lists for 106.45 and the black one lists for 61.15 but it looks like yours is the more expensive painted body color one. Discount Ford parts places probably have then for ~ 30% less.
